He was a cost engineer at Foster Wheeler Corp.'s Fire Heater Division, Livingston where he worked for 35 years before he retired in 1981. He was a former member of St. Therese Roman Catholic Church, Succasunna, and was an avid writer of poetry. Surviving are a son Robert J., with whom he lived; two daughters Johanna Barbieri, Connecticut, and Margaret Alice DeThomas, Hackettstown; two sisters, Frances Ciavolino, Freehold, and Dolores Maloney, Flanders; and five grandchildren. The funeral will be Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Delia Torre Funeral Home, 515 21st Ave. A requiem Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. in St. Antnony s. in-ferment will follow in Holy Sep ulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Surviving are two sons, Charles N. of East Paterson and Anthony of Paterson; two dauehters.
