In a 1886-1890 city directory a Thomas Koppers is shown living at 130 Peel Street Paterson, NJ. In 1887 a Thomas Koppers living in the US for at least 5 years, currently in Paterson, NJ, was granted citizenship. In 1900 a Thomas, wife and children other than Lemis are listed under the name Coperas. In 1924 Jennie Coppers and some children are shown living at 67 Marshal Street Paterson. A very pretty wedding was solemnized yesterday afternoon when Miss Lucy Moraino, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patsy Moraino of 15 Scrivens street and John DeMario, son of Mr. and Mr. Carmelo De Marra of 402 Oak street, Passaic, were united in marriage. The bride was attired In a gown of white satin with train and carried a bouquet or calla lilies, sweet peas, and llliea-of-the-valley. Miss Rose Moraino, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor and was attired In a salmon colored gown and carried a bouquet of tea roses with lilies-of-the-valley. Fred J. Petrolla of Lodl served as best man. The bride's mother wore a print -chiffon gown and a corsage of talisman roses. The groom's mother wore a black crepe gown and a corsage of talisman roses. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents with over 300 people in attendance. The home was attractively decorated in white streamers with wedding bells and flowers. Singing and dancing was enjoyed with music furnished, by a popular orchestra. The altar was covered with white chrysanthemums massed against a background of palms and ferns, and the marriage was solemnized by the Rev. Eugene W. Costello. A reception was held at Kohlers Swiss Chalet in Rochelle Park. Escorted by her father, the bride was gowned in white satin made with a Queen Anne collar and cuffs of imported Alencon lace. Tiny white satin buttons decorated the dress from neckline to hem, and the full skirt swept into a cathedral train. The bride carried a white satin prayerbook which had belonged to her paternal " great-grandmother of Paris. Her veU of silk illusion was gathered into a crown of seed pearls. Miss Blanche Peslin was maid of honor for her sister, and the brides maids were Mrs. Charles W. He was an electrician for the Heller Heat Treating Company in Clifton. He was a founding member of the Totowa First Aid Squad, and served for 31 years. He was a Marshall for the Totowa Police Department, a member of the Totowa Republican Club, and a former Passaic County Republican County Commiteeman. He is survived by his wife, the former Catherine Fiorello, one son; Robert, of Totowa, his mother, Theresa, of Totowa, seven brothers; Carmen and Nick of Totowa, Reginald of Florida, Anthony of Maryland, Benjamin of West Milford, Rocco of Franklin Lakes, and Ronald of Connecticut.
