Marriage
Jeanette Coppers Wed To Gordon Burgess Miss Jeannett Harriet Coppers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Eakins of 465 Main street, became the bride recently of Gordon Burgess, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Burgess of Sangerville, Me. The wedding was solemnized in Grace Methodist Church with the Rev. Herbert C. Lytle, Jr., pastor, officiating. A reception followed in the First Ward Republican Club. The bridef who was given In marriage by her stepfather, wore a gown of white satin made with a long train and a five-yard veil held in an old-fashioned lace crown. She carried a bouquet of calla lillies. Her sister, Miss Hazel Eakins, frock of blue satin with a crown was her maid of honor. She wore a headpiece to match her frock and carried pink chrysanthemums. Mrs. Barbara Lyons, bridesmaid, wore a maize taffeta with headpiece to match and carried bronze chrysanthemums. George Reid, Jr. served as best man and the usher was William Lyons. The bride is a graduate of School No. 12 and Central High School and was formerly employed by the Linen Thread Company The groom is in business with his father. He was recently discharged from the -United States Army after serving in the European ineaier tor two years, previous to wnicn ne was with the 67th Regiment stationed in Paterson. Afer a honeymoon spent in Massachusetts, the couple will live in Sangerville, Me.
