Obituary
Carmine Barbieri, 76, died yesterday. Born in Paterson, he lived in Totowa 48 years, moving here four years ago. Mr. Barbieri was a field supervisor for W.A. Chester Inc., Little Ferry, 27 years, retiring in 1990. He served in the merchant marines, under the jurisdiction of the Coast Guard, during World War II. He was a member of Franklin Pleasure Club and Italian Circle, both of Paterson. Surviving are his wife, the former Theresa Talerman; a son, Edward of Wayner a daughter, Gaye Voltarelli of Fairfield; his mother, Terese (Cece) Barbieri of Totowa; four brothers, Nicholas of Totowa, Benjamin of West Milford, Rocco of Franklin Lakes and Ronald of Connecticut; four sisters, Jean Barbieri, Josephine Barbieri, Jennie Sciarra and Nancy Marzella, all of Totowa; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
